Lodi Gardens New Delhi

A place of tranquility in the heart of New Delhi

This peaceful, serene green park is a popular escape in New Delhi thanks to its verdant gardens and myriad of architectural tombs and ruins. Stretching over 90 acres this peaceful patch of green is home to historic monuments belonging to the Lodi, Sayyid and Moghul dynasties. Today the colorful landscaped gardens and meandering paths and jogging tracks is a haven to the contemporary bustling streets that surround its borders.

Take a stroll through Lodi Gardens early in the morning to see practised yogis saluting the sun beneath the dome of the 15th century Lodi sultans' tombs, or head to the lake to cross the Athpula bridge that dates back to the Emperor Akbar's reign.
