The Great Wall of China

Stretching an inconceivable 13,170 miles through the north, China’s most famous landmark dates all the way back to the third century BC and is a true sight to behold.

Several sections of The Great Wall have been restored and formally opened to the public; Badaling is the closest to Beijing. It winds gracefully and haphazardly through Manchurian remains and the Gobi desert and is undoubtedly one of the world's greatest wonders.

There are plenty of Great Wall tours on offer, allowing you to explore this amazing sight with a knowledgeable guide. The Wall itself is now a huge part of Chinese culture and if you're planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to China, must not be missed.
