Easter Island

Ahu Tongariki

Easter Island's enigmatic stone statues are dotted throughout the Chilean island, and are shrouded in mystical aura.

The silent spectators of Chile's past, these world-famous moai are made of compacted volcanic ash, with more than 1,000 of the giant statues dotted across the island, 400 of which can be found in the quarries of the Rano Raraku Volcano.

Ahu Tongariki is the largest collection, where 15 of the statues stand majestically against the barren landscape. Visit to see this unbelievable sight for yourself and be sure to have your camera at the ready.
