Chicago is famous most for its legendary blues and jazz music scene, which can be heard and enjoyed across the city every night of the week.

Head to one of the music clubs to discover up-and-coming artists, or visit the likes of The Chicago Theatre or the Aragon Ballroom at for sell-out live shows. Don't miss Kingston Mines, the original blues club, on Sunday nights, and be sure to visit Lee's Unleaded Blues, and authentic spot to drink beer with the locals while watching some great live music.

Chicago Blues Festival

Welcoming more than 500,000 blues fans each year, this isn't just the largest music festival in Chicago but also the largest free blues festival in the world.

Taking place each summer across Labor Day weekend, the festival offers three full days of music, entertainment and tasty food, with headline acts such as Ray Charles, B.B. King and the late Bo Diddley having performed in the past.
