Yukon – Things to do

Yukon Attractions

Yukon boast some incredible attractions - from an array of wildlife viewing to the beautiful Northern Lights. Experience Yukon by bike or by foot and head to the city of Whitehorse and and gaze upon the history from the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush, before sipping a cup of coco under the stunning Aurora Borelalis.

Whitehorse

Located within earshot of the mighty Yukon River, Whitehorse is the main gateway and arrival point in Yukon. The city, although small, still retains much of its Prospector history from the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898 from its old ‘western’ style buildings to even panning for gold in the nearby Klondike Goldfields.

Aurora Borelalis

Being so close to Canada’s Arctic Circle means that the best attraction of these territories, without a doubt, is the stunning Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis. With some of the longest seasons available for viewing – from August to April, Yukon and Northwest Territories boast incredible un-obscured views of the mesmerizing skies as they burst with a magnificent kaleidoscope of neon colours.
