Big Fun!!!!

We recently stayed at Hotel 71 for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was our first time being in Quebec City. The entire staff is skilled in hospitality and providing a pleasant stay. The person we had the most exposure to was Catherine. She was quite friendly and way cool! Thomas and Simon were very attentive and Mohammad was great getting us settled in the first night. The entire desk staff was attentive and hospitable. Some raters I noticed criticized the breakfast. We thought the breakfast was fine, plenty of food, and good service. If you are looking for a heavy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit and gravy heart attack breakfast, then's not that. The breakfast was included in the price of the room so if we were paying alot for it maybe we would feel differently. We ate at the Italian restaurant once and picked up a carry out order once. The service was very good and the food was good. We liked the location in lower Old Quebec and found it to be quaint. To get to upper Old Quebec from the hotel you do have to hoof it up some elevation but doable. We are in our upper 50's and it wasn't a deal breaker. There is an incline if you prefer though which you pay for. We walked a couple of times to microbreweries and a street festival outside of the Old City walls from the hotel so you can do alot on foot if you want to. Hotel 21 was perfect for our special event weekend and we would very much like to return on another trip. It is a little expensive but in all fairness we did not reserve our room too far in advance and were there during the weekend of the Night of the Galleries so it might be more affordable at other times. Thanks to everyone at Hotel 71 for providing a memorable stay! Hope to see you all again!

Hotel 71 was AHHHHHHHMAZING!!!! So happy I didn’t spend the extra money to book at The Fairmont - phenomenal staff - be sure to use the valet!! Matthew and Thomas were awesome!!! Such unique features - honestly so refreshed - 3 Days felt like more than a week away. Right in the heart of the old town so many wonderful people! Just can’t say enough!!
