So many ways to capture the iconic Chateau Frontenac...which is you favorite view? I always come back for just a few more shots- morning, noon and night! So busy both inside and out but do take a moment to step inside to see the interior too!

A Fairy Tale Castle

Washington DC, District of Columbia

We stayed at the Chateau Frontenac for two nights in August of 2019. All rooms are expensive at the Frontenac, but I spent extra to get a large room with a river view. The location of the hotel is perfect, the view of the ships coming and going on the Saint Laurent was spectacular, and we were able to watch a magnificent fireworks display from our bathtub! The staff was attentive and the service at the restaurants was superb. The room was perfect but there was construction going on directly outside our window that included scaffolding and power tools. They worked during the day, so afternoon naps were out of the question, but they completed their work by 5:30pm. Initially, I was very upset and felt that I had been ripped off (there was no email notification that construction would be occurring). However, I spoke with the desk supervisor and he resolved my issues. We weren't able to move our room but he was able to provide me with three items of compensation that made me feel that my business was respected. This is a world class hotel - if you have a problem speak to the staff, they will solve your problem! This service, and the considerations that they offered me, are why they get 5 stars.
