Fantastic Hotel

Clifton Park, New York

Went here for just one night—certainly wished it was longer. From the time of booking to checking out, this hotel has got their act together. The staff are all so wonderful, courteous and helpful, especially Maria at registration . The rooms are exceptional. The hotel had a renovation and I seriously couldn’t find one thing wrong. There is a connection from the hotel to the underground shops which is so convenient. With their renovation, they have included a new artisans store where you can purchase almost anything. The breakfast buffet was very good and again our waiter, Eric, was great. Went to Gibby’s in Old Montréal. Great night life. Love the animation and lights on the buildings and in the park. Next time I will need a longer visit!

Nice hotel and superior service.

We were quite happy with our one-night stay at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel in Montreal. The hotel is ideally situated, surrounded by good places to eat, great shopping and Metro stations are close by. The room we were assigned was a good sized room, with a whole wall of windows across from the bed, thus making the room extra bright. It was clean and very quiet. However the best comment I can give in this review is the assistance we received from a young doorman by the name of GED. We four senior ladies were waiting anxiously for a long time at the curb for our Uber ride to show up. He very kindly approached us and inquired if that was indeed what we were doing, and we said yes. He looked at the phone we were using and showed us that the driver had cancelled the trip on us. We asked him to order another car but since it was a busy time for Uber drivers, the charge shown on the app was quite hefty; he then suggested that we take a cab to the airport as the flat rate of $41 is more reasonable. When we agreed he immediately hailed a cab for us, loaded our bags and sent us off with a smile and a wish for a good flight. What impressed us most was that Ged did all this with a very respectful, friendly attitude without making us feel stupid. He did what our sons would have done for us. After the treatment we got from a hotel we previously stayed at and reviewed, Ged was a breath of fresh air. In these days of huge competitions, customer service is more important than ever. Fairmont should be very proud to have Ged in their staff. Thank you, Ged.
