Very Busy Hotel

Toronto, Canada

The Delta Chelsea is a centrally located hotel. It’s about a 5 minute walk to Yonge Dundas Square. This is a very busy hotel. The lobby is full, elevators are busy, there are people everywhere. Many of the tour groups and airline staff stay here. The staff do an exceptional job overall. There are friendly, helpful and courteous given the challenges in dealing with the volume of travelers. The rooms are comfortable enough and have a kettle, tea and coffee. The hallways can be noisy, but ask for a quiet area of the hotel and they will accommodate you.

Great hotel in a great location but beware of upgraded

My husband and I checked in here for 2 days and on arrival were offered an upgrade for $75/day This included exclusive membership to the 1865 club on level 27 This was open in the evenings from 5pm till midnight You were given free appetisers but had to buy your drinks as we found out later. It was also open for breakfast which we were told was valued at $26 per person. Breakfast at best was average and not worth the money. We didn’t realise that on weekends breakfast was only served from 8am and not 6:30am and as we had an early flight we were told that breakfast was unavailable. After some discussion we were given a$30 voucher between us . So stick to the standard room and don’t get sucked into an upgrade and enjoy the wonderful location of this hotel.
