Nothing fancy but adequate for a few days of family fun in Vancouver.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

We booked a Deluxe Suite with Two Double Beds. On arrival, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful receptionists. I could temporarily park and unload my car right in front of the main door, and could long-term park the car in their pretty big parking garage under the hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor. The living area was a bit dark and felt a bit rundown, but clean. Kitchenette looked ancient and was not very well equipped. Not that you want to do a lot of cooking, because of the great and affordable Asian food Vancouver offers. The air conditioner was really loud and weirdly located near the kitchen. The hotel pool isn't very big, but adequate for young kids that were stuck in planes and cars for too many hours. The pool could do with a bit less chlorine though. The fitness room is located next to the swimming pool and reception. Not really a room, no noticeable air conditioning and not a lot of equipment, but the treadmill was good enough for a few sweaty runs. During our stay, my better half saw a mouse running across the carpet in our room. Yikes! I guess that can happen in a big city hotel. A bit shaken, she notified the receptionist at the front desk. The hotel staff adequately responded. They immediately moved us to the 14th floor and offered us complimentary breakfast for the last two nights. Besides being mouse free for the remainder of the stay, the room at the 14th also offered a much better view than our room on the 3rd floor. Oh, one last thing that was really annoying; during rush hour it's really hard to get hold of an elevator as there isn't a lot of capacity and they are quite slow. Overall, this three-star hotel offers good bang for your buck. Nothing fancy but adequate for a few days of family fun in Vancouver.

Great Place close to CBD

Cape Town Central, South Africa

We stayed two nights in Vancouver at Rosedale hotel. It is very conveniently located. As this is a suit hotel all suits got a full kitchen facility. Suits are well appointed and clean. Front of house staff were very friendly. Overall very happy with the stay.
