We had two great meals at "The Wick" this Christmas

Dundas, Canada

The Pointe restaurant is always the way we start and finish our visit to Tofino. This year we had amazing dinners and very personable servers who explained each dish well and made the evening a success.

A magical place

We stayed here for 3 nights. We could practically touch the sea from our room. Very comfortable beds and beautifully furnished room with everything you could possibly wish for including wet weather clothes! There was a fire which we did not need as the weather was beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our first morning we had breakfast in the Driftwood Cafe which was a buffet but met our needs, as we had an early start for a day of whale and bear watching with Remote Passages Marine experiences. When we returned in the evening we again ate in the Driftwood cafe. I had the most amazing clam chowder! As we were eating we spotted a Steller's Jay in the garden, fabulous colours. The next day we had our breakfast in the Pointe restaurant, superb service and food. The special juice of the day was wonderful, raspberries, apples and something else which I can't remember, sadly. We spent the day on the beach, I had a quick dip in the freezing cold sea, we walked through the rainforest trail which was a little underwhelming but we enjoyed it. Such an atmospheric place with great 'green' credentials. We had dinner in the Pointe Restaurant which was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel.
