great location but rooms need some attention

Vancouver, Canada

The staff are amazing - polite, friendly and helpful. When we had a difficulty with the WiFi someone was sent immediately to fix things. The waterfront views are stellar. However, the room needs some attention in areas. Some towels were fraying (why would staff even think worn towels belong in the room?). The sheets were pilling, something one doesn't expect even at budget hotels. Miele appliances in the room are excellent. But having rust stains from the dishwasher so evident on the floor (in the middle of the room) really looks messy. There was part of a light fixture (broken? never used?) left on top of the kitchen cupboards. These details truly aren't acceptable for a hotel in this price range. For these reasons, I put the room rating at poor. Having said that, the staff and views were excellent.

The Best!!!

Have been to Black Rock twice for Christmas!! The "Last Stop Japan" suite is wonderful, The view is spectacular. First time the storm watching tookniur breath away the second time the sunny days made beach time wonderful. The Fetch Restaurant left nothing to be desired. This resort is well with the money.
