Nice stay

Westlake Village, United States

The room was clean and we had plenty of space. It was nice to have the fridge and a place to eat. I also liked the Organic products they provided in the room. It was also nice to have the separate room my son to sleep on the pull out.

Ugh - is all I can say.

Edmonton, Canada

We booked via Hotwire and got a decent rate for a night at Lobstick Lodge. I quickly called the hotel directly to advised that I will be travelling with a person so is allergic to cats/dogs and could the room be thoroughly cleaned. When we arrived to check in, the front desk person gave us a room in the basement and right across the hall from the laundry facilities. I found this odd as there were plenty of rooms available still at his hotel for the night that we were there. So I went back to the front desk to ask for a new room. Front desk obliged and we were given a room on the main floor. Clearly a much better room, but clearly there had been dogs in the room prior to our stay. My daughter broke out in hives the next day and was a whiny mess. We actually cut our winter roadtrip short and headed home where we could medicate and be in a clean environment. In hindsight, I guess I should have accepted the room in their dungeon across from laundry? Really? I feel like I shouldn't be punished because I am not travelling with pets. Aside from the pets being in most of the rooms. There were lots of kids that would run down hallways all hours of the evening (with a 6 year old, we're early sleepers). Parking was a bit of a challenge too. We ended up parking on the street. Overall I was real disappointed in this stay.
