Calgary's Heritage Park Historical Village

Take a step back in time

If you really want to experience Calgary’s cowboy past, Heritage Park Historical Village takes you back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries with 150 evocative restored buildings from homestead to fur-trading post, characters in authentic costumes, and a railroad and steam locomotive. Take a walk down Gasoline Alley and soak up the ambiance of the vintage vehicles, antique gas pumps and memorabilia. 

Open from May To October, the historical village boast many authentic and working exhibits - from stream train, printing press, blacksmith shop and ice cream parlour. Learn about the First Nations culture and the meanings behind their traditional dances, watching live demonstrations of their hunting tools. Join a guided walking tour through the centuries of the historical park. This park is great for all the family and a get day away from the city.
