Amazing hotel

Spruce Grove, Canada

I stay in Calgary about once a month for business and try to stay at hotels that are connected to the Pedway system for ease of getting around. I got in late and wanted to hit the sac quick. Check in was a breeze and I was upgraded to a suite. Was a nice surprise after a long drive. The room was AMAZING I don’t think I have been in a room in Calgary that nice in my regular price range. Very much enjoyed the little perks of a tv built into the bathroom mirror, complimentary water, sewing kit, mouthwash, toothpaste etc. I order breakfast from room service. Only took about 20 minutes. Great stay can’t say enough good about it.

Terrible Customer Service

Cochrane, Canada

I stayed for a work holiday party, so we got a good rate on the room. First of all the room was nicely finished, but on the small side. There's no way 2 people can get ready in the bathroom, it's very small. We had a great time at the party that was at the hotel. They really did a good job catering the event. Then at about 3am I got up cause I heard a weird knocking sound and after I turned on the lights I finally saw that the ceiling was dripping water right into my suitcase - gross. I moved the suitcase, cleaned it up as best I could, and put down a bunch of towels to collect the water that was still dripping. There was no way I was going to try and switch rooms at 3am. In the morning when we checked out at 9am I let the front desk know and the man at the desk asked what he could do for us, I asked what he suggested and he offered us breakfast, but I said we were in a hurry to get home, so he offered to buy us coffee at the Starbucks. I grabbed a latte (and I'm celiac so no food from there for me), my husband didn't want anything. So we left. I was a bit choked at he didn't offer us a discount on our stay, which would have been far better than a coffee. As we drove home and then to hockey I kept getting all sorts of emails from them with different invoices, and I got really confused, I checked our credit card, but thankfully just saw the standard charges. Then a day later I saw a charge for the coffee!!! Talk about adding insult to injury. Then as I looked more closely at our receipts I noticed they had sent me a coworkers invoice, glad there were no awkward charges there, but seriously not a good sign. People your information is not secure here!!! I did a survey a few days later and got an email from a manager saying they would be sure to refund my latte, and in about a week or two they did, but what a mess. I lost a night of sleep for a free coffee, not quite the resolution I was hoping for. SO DISAPOINTED. Hope no one gets our leaky room.
