The national parks available on your California holiday are jaw-droppingly beautiful and magnificently diverse. With nine great National Parks, California has the most and if there was a competition to find an iconic image of the parks of America, the giant redwood tree would be a serious contender. Each one is special in its own way.

Yosemite National Park

From the granite rock formations of El Capitan to the ancient sequoias of Mariposa Grove, this park commands awe and wonder. We love its wild beauty and striking vistas.

Death Valley National Park

Home to dramatic canyons, luminous sand dunes and salt flats surrounded by mountains, this is the largest National Park outside of Alaska and the lowest, hottest place in North America.

Lassen Volcanic National Park

Discover the wonders and mysteries of volcanoes, from bubbling mud pots to steaming sulphur vents; this lively park continues to shape the land.

Redwood National Park

Old-growth temperate rainforests home to some of the tallest trees on earth, alongside 40 miles of rugged coastline. Watch the fog roll in off the ocean on this verdant landscape.

Joshua Tree National Park

Explore jagged rock formations, gold mining ruins and oddball trees where the high Mojave Desert meets the low Colorado Desert across the stark desert landscape.

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

Famed for their giant Sequoias, these parks also have deep canyons, roaring rivers and soaring mountains. They lie side by side in the southern Sierra Nevada and their dramatic landscape testifies to nature's beauty and diversity.

Channels Islands National Park

Comprising of five islands off the coast of the southern California coast, this is one of America's most remote and totally magical National Parks. Isolation has allowed evolution to move forward independently and marine life ranges from microscopic plankton to the blue whale.

Pinnacles National Park

Cliffs, crags and cave formations created 23 million years ago following multiple volcanic eruptions form California's newest National Park along the Central California Coast directly under the San Andreas Fault.
