Itinerary Breakdown

Meet on arrival at Cuiaba Airport and transfer to your hotel. On the way (3.5 hours) observe birds, small mammals, and typical landscapes such as the farms and savannas. Your transfer stops at Pocone; before the second leg of the journey and several stops are made for photo opportunities. Once settled at the lodge, late afternoon can be spent hiking the lodge's surroundings. Hike to the Mirante da Garca, a 12m high observation tower for an unequalled view of the sunset. After dinner, a star gazing trek is available where you can experience the sounds of the flood plain.

After breakfast, observe the wonders of the jungle with a 2-3 hour horseback ride which take you up to the edge of Sia Mariana Bay, a great vantage point to take in the stunning scenery. In the afternoon, observe and learn about the surrounding ecosystem with a hike through the jungle. Later enjoy dinner and a nights stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, depart to Rio Clarinho river riding on the flood plain ways. At Rio Clarinho riverbank, take a canoe and explore its banks, mangroves and forest. With luck, a sight of a family of ariranhas (giant otters) will be nearby (fishing, playing and teaching the babies to swim and fish). Possibility of fishing the elusive Piranha, known for nibbling the bait off the hook without the fisherman noticing. Lambaris, another species of fresh water fish are an easy catch and are delicious when barbecued. A picnic barbecue lunch will be prepared at the camp site. Return to the lodge at the end of the afternoon. Later enjoy dinner and a night at the lodge.

Take an early morning canoe ride down the Mutum River to observe the sunrise, and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in the Pantanal. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then to Cuiaba Airport for your onward flight.
