Sepilok Orang-utan Centre

See the Humans of The Forest and the amazing work of the centre

We love talking holidays and we're here to help. If you'd like our advice on how to create an amazing Borneo holiday, just give our Destination Specialists a call.

This is your chance to see those 'wild men of Borneo', the flame-haired orang-utans, in their natural habitat. The centre has been rescuing orphaned baby orang-utans since 1964, once fully rehabilitated the aim is to release them into the wild as soon as they are ready.

The reserve in total is 43 sq km of protected land allowing the orang-utans plently of space, however feeding time brings them back together at the viewing platform if they decide to come. Enjoy seeing these long-armed creatures swinging through the trees and the great work of the Sepilok Orang-utan Centre.
