Best time to visit Bhutan
Many people like to visit Bhutan during the autumn and winter because of the prospect of clearer skies. Temperatures at this time can reach average highs of 26°C in October and lows of 2°C in December. The temperature in Bhutan is very similar to that of Nepal.

Spring Season
Early spring in Bhutan is comfortably warm with beautiful, clear views of the surrounding mountains. Flowers burst into bloom and the days are sunny and warm. By May, the temperatures become hot and the coming monsoon season hangs in the air.
Summer Season
Summer in Bhutan sees the beginning of monsoon season, when frequent heavy rains and storms fall in the afternoon and night and occasionally throughout the day. Temperatures and humidity are both very high in the summer.
Autumn Season
Monsoon season extends through September, but by October the weather is clear and sunny. With the monsoons finished, the country is lush and green and the air fresh and clean.
Winter Season
Winter brings cool, dry weather and clear skies with good visibility to Bhutan. In the mountains snow falls occasionally. Temperatures are comfortable by day but very cold at night.

With pleasant temperatures, sunny skies, and excellent mountain views, early spring or late autumn are our favourite times to visit Bhutan. From October to November the country is verdant and green after the monsoon season; March and April see warm temperatures with sunny skies.
