Gibbs Hill Lighthouse

Spectacular views of Bermuda

The oldest cast-iron lighthouse in the world, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse’s 185 step platform offers sweeping views of Bermuda and, at the right time of year, the chance to see whales.

Standing proudly atop a hill in Southampton Parish, the lighthouse sits 245 feet above sea level and is one of the island's main sightseeing attractions. If you're after panoramic vistas of Bermuda, there's no better place than the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse balcony. As you climb the steps, mini exhibits will teach you more about the structure and how it was built as well as history of the island itself.
