Pure luxury that exceeds all expectations

All expectations were exceeded by the hotel staff and restaurant. The service was consistently thoughtful and no matter the request it was always possible. It rained every day during our stay, but thanks to the beauty of our room & surroundings, and above all the service-oriented staff, we still had an excellent get-away.

Ok, not great

My husband and I were really looking forward to spending the night at the Princess for a mini babymoon. We decided to got for a deluxe harbour view king room and I’m not going to lie we were disappointed. You could kind of see the harbour from the room when you went on to the balcony at the right angle but it certainly wasn’t worth paying extra for. I also know that the hotel has had some major renovations, unfortunately I guess we didn’t get one of the updated rooms because while ours was pleasant enough it was old. The other thing I’d say is that nobody warned us in advance that the hotel was under construction and we couldn’t have the balcony doors open because all you could hear was the sound of construction, not really the relaxing environment we were hoping for. Overall I’d say it’s a pretty hotel but majorly overpriced and anticlimactic for what we got...
