Explore the halls and gardens of the largest ancient palatial structure in the world and the best preserved imperial palace in China. Lying at the centre of Beijing, the Forbidden City was the imperial palace for twenty-four emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties and stood to represent the supreme power of the emporer. Shrouded in mystery and isolation for generations and standing at what was believed to be the centre of the universe, the city complex comprises of a myriad number of courtyards and palaces all guarded by four exquisite watchtowers sitting at the corners of the 10 metre high outer wall. With roofs covered with golden glazed tiles, red painted walls and an expanse of brick-paved squares the Forbidden City is a treasure house of cultural and historical relics. 

This excursion departs daily (excluding Monday's) and is based on a minimum of two passengers. Duration is approximately 8 hours and departs at 8.30am.
