Beautiful beach side location

West Sussex, United Kingdom

We returned this morning after a wonderful ten days at the Sea Breeze Beach House hotel. The location - right on a wide stretch of white sandy beach - together with the friendly, helpful staff, made this a destination that I would recommend. We paid extra for an ocean-view room which we were pleased to have as we could see the Caribbean, and hear the waves on the shore, when we were sitting up in bed every morning. The free wifi worked equally well in the rooms and hotel grounds. Having a choice of swimming pools meant that we could swim lengths undisturbed, or watch small children enjoying the water in the family pool, whenever we wanted. We may have been lucky that there were only a few children staying when we were there so even the family-pool area was a relaxing place to sit. The sun loungers were comfortable and plentiful so although there weee a few towels placed early in the morning, it was never a problem to find a place in either the sun or the shade; there were also ample loungers - with individual canopies - available on the beach. I hope that when the new accommodation block opens later this year that there will still be enough sun loungers... The food was generally very good, and beautifully presented. Marcia and Karen both did an excellent job at the egg station at breakfast, and the restaurant managers were all very good at welcoming you and taking care of your needs. I would have a liked a little more variation in the salad offerings at lunch as it was not very easy to select a 'light lunch'. Kemar was a very friendly and attentive waiter - but he was not alone (I just cannot remember all the names I'm afraid). The staff at the Sea Breeze are a real asset to the hotel as they are so friendly and helpful. When our flight home was delayed, they went out of their way to make life as easy as possible for us (and we're so sorry that we ended up having to rush off without saying goodbye, especially to Olivia and Lisa - thank you both!). We did not see much of the evening entertainment, mostly because it started quite early- while we were having dinner (and was sometimes a little too loud if we were in the Cerulean restaurant trying to talk with friends); it finished at 10:30. We might have preferred a delayed start and a slightly later finish. Hiring a car made visiting the rest of the island very easy so I would be very happy to base myself in this southern spot when we return to Barbados in the future.

Christmas and new year at the sea breeze

Bromley, United Kingdom

Our 2nd visit here, first was 7 years ago & we always wanted to return. A fabulous hotel, friendly staff who can’t do enough for you, beautiful beach, lovely clean rooms. Unfortunately we had flu so couldn’t really indulge in the all inclusive unlimited alcohol but there are worse places to feel ill. We enjoyed the comfy sun loungers on the deck and were well looked after by the staff especially Lisa who ensured we always had a nice cold drink to cool us down! Great evening entertainment especially the group Virgo who were amazing. New year they made a big effort and it was a fantastic evening. We did the organised picnic trip to Bathsheba which was great fun and went to pistons for Friday fish night. It’s still a lovely hotel and I hope when all the work is complete, it doesn’t lose its friendly laid back atmosphere. We had a complimentary room upgrade and were ground floor by the garden pool. Last time we were ocean view on the other side. I don’t think a bad room exists to be honest and you are never far from an amazing view of the beach! I wouldn’t go anywhere else if I return to Barbados as it ticked all the boxes for us. Well done to all the staff, they work really hard but are never too busy to chat and make you feel welcome.
