Another Superb Experience

Jersey, United Kingdom

Just finishing another visit to the wonderful Sandpiper Hotel in Holetown , Barbados. This hotel stands out for many reasons : It is on one of the best beaches with great swimming and water sports; The proximity to Holetown and surrounding restaurants is great; The accommodation is top notch; The food is top of the range; The facilities, including the gym, are great; The staff are very friendly and helpful with many having been here for ever , especially Harold who runs Harold’s Bar so well ; The beach staff are very attentive, looking after the sun beds, providing jugs of iced water etc.; Accommodation is kept spotless; Love seeing all the birds ,mongoose and occasionally monkeys in the gardens. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Barbados.

Amazing, amazing ... simply amazing

Maidstone

I have never stayed in a hotel quite like this - ok let’s start with when you arrive. Firstly, none of the usual hanging round the reception waiting to check in- staff know who you are as soon as you get out of the car. The manager collects you and shows you around the resort and then personally to your room- our bags were already in the room- followed by a welcome drink. We sat outside our suite immediately feeling we had arrived somewhere very special. The monkeys, sound of the ocean and pristine grounds re affirm these feelings. Dinner is amazing - a huge choice with a selection of daily specials - great wine choice and very attentive staff. We chose to spend most of our days on the beach- why wouldn’t you- again amazing staff that bring water, sorbets and waiter service. Water sports aplenty -Ron and Bob giving you lots of options and ideas, my husband even tried water skiing which he loved - love that you can get to most local restaurants via the hotel boats - what a great way to arrive! And see some more of the island. Harolds bar is famous if you have read other reviews and for more reasons that just the kind, lovely gentleman Harold - the food is great with a view to die for and a great place to watch the sunset. The beach at the hotel is fabulous- very safe with plenty of fishes to see whilst snorkelling. You can walk from the hotel into Holetown if you want to get out - great shopping centre but love the local streets with bars and atmosphere - fun Sunday with locals doing karaoke. Back to the Sandpiper- this is truly a gem of a hotel - totally incredible in every way. Special mention to Russell the Manager, The water sports boys, Tina in the restaurant (good luck with your baby), Shaun at front of the hotel, Wayne’s world at the bar and obviously the infamous Harold - I cannot wait to return to this paradise - I promise you will not be disappointed ❤️
