Can't wait to return!

New Brunswick, Canada

I do not know where to begin with The Sandpiper. My friend and I stayed at The Sandpiper in June 2018. It was beyond anything we were expecting. The grounds were picturesque, the beach was smaller but lovely, and the people were exceptional. The staff were phenomenal. They all were extremely polite and hard working. To say they went above & beyond isn't giving them enough credit. The moment we walked through the airy & open lobby, we felt at home. The guests were all repeat guests with multiple years worth of stays. We met one very lovely couple from Manchester who have visited The Sandpiper for over 2 decades. 20 years! Every guest we met we instantly made a new friend - they all called us 'The Canadians'. Blown away is an understatement. We started out vacation in Barbados at The Sandpiper and wished we could have stayed there the entire trip. We understand very quickly why there are so many repeat guests. We are The Sandpiper newest repeat guests! We were in a ground level 1 bedroom suite with a partial ocean view. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We were not in our suite very much for obvious reasons but the beds were high quality and very comfy and the bathroom and shower were great! The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect. Very affordable as well. The location was very ideal - right in Holetown and an easy stroll to the town for shopping - it has a grocery store, liquor store, little quaint shops and great restaurant options. Whenever something wasn't within walking distance(Bridgetown and Speightstown) we took the bus. 2 BBD - it was quick, entertaining and safe. We were a bit shocked as to how easy it is get around the island. A lot of tree fogs at night. Took me one night to get used to their constant chirping as I've never experienced them before but after that one night I was fine. We are coming back to Barbados next summer(Ideally July as we want to also stay at Coral Reef Club which doesn't open until July) and The Sandpiper is top on our list to return.

The Manager tried to riun our wedding

Greater London, United Kingdom

We where given a suit which our three year old could fall over the balcony, The band stand was closer to our room than the restaurant music started at 19.30 went on till 22.30 it was like having a band in our rooms with a three year old trying to sleep they move us the 1st night and then informed we would have to go back, refused to move us even when we offered to drop down to a room stayed one more night and left moved the wedding and all, felt I was being pressured into accepting a bad situation by the GM Russell Croney because we had organised to have the wedding at the hotel. When my wife had her hair done they all where aware there are a couple of rooms you do not stay in at the hotel, so why put us there with a toddler if you where out all evening it would not be a problem and Mr Croney did see any problem with the music or the danger to our son on the Balcony. The staff where great very understanding and sympathetic and very nice and the food was great I feel we could have had a great time, I felt the GM was very difficult one statement was that although it was a special time for us our wedding Christmas is special for every one . We the only ones getting Married at the Hotel. The We moved to the Fairmont had a great time, great wedding.
