If you like Resorts you will love it.

To begin we enjoyed our stay on the Grand Isle, but we just had one night as our flight got changed and we wanted to see a different hotel on the island than the one we’ve had before. We arrived early to use the pool and the beach area the whole day and the site is impressive as the pool area is nice and the beach is fantastic. On the same beach another big hotel (Sandals) is located, where they had hammocks and swings right inside the sea (tide depending). We got our room earlier than expected and it was huge and “Grand” - just as the hotel’s name. The staff is highly trained and very engaged, but sometimes we felt the service was maybe a bit too exaggerated, at least for us. There were some staff members who were asking every hour if everything is fine or if we would miss something. But this is what a resort is all about, they are taking care of you 24 hours a day. The onsite restaurant is highly priced, therefor we expected a better service at the dinner, which was not satisfying if compared to the 15% service charge, which was added automatically. The food was high quality, my conch chowder was great, my main dish Mahi Mahi too. Just my wife’s chicken did not live up to the quality of my dishes. In total it was a very nice stay and we were pleased to visit this beautiful island. The resort is definitely recommendable.

Spacious lodging/ not the best for wedding venue

Metairie, Louisiana

We were very impressed with the size of our condo. We had a garden view but still really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view. Ours had a huge kitchen and the great thing was, maid service came everyday and took over the kitchen cleaning so we never had to do it! The pool was beautiful and staff very nice. On another note, I would not recommend getting married here- we went for my mom’s wedding and the planner Grand Isle made her pay to use was very disorganized and made things pretty stressful. This was unfortunate because the views and the pictures from the wedding turned out gorgeous. So overall, great place to vacation, not so great to get married at.
