Beautiful Grounds

Holland, Michigan

Harborside was a great choice for our family of seven. The 2 bedroom lock-out condo set up offered plenty of room, was nicely decorated and arranged, We were in building 5, rooms 2777 and 2776 near the pool and a short walk from check in. We were supposed to have building 7 (the check in building) but I'm not sure what happened. We didn't say anything once we were brought to our room as we were too tired to care at that point of our travel day, but sitting on the balcony looking at the boats would have been a much better view. Free shuttle service was very handy to use anywhere we wanted to get to on Atlantis property. Minimal wait times and fast - be sure to check when last shuttle runs if you plan on staying out late in the Casino or out dining, The beds were VERY comfortable, as were the linens. Both sofas also pulled out into beds and were comfortable as well. Our adult kids said they were great and never "suffered" using them. There was no extra comforter or blanket for the sofa beds (just sheets) so if you sleep cold, ask for more than one blanket; a heavier comforter was not brought to us when asked - they may not have had any. Had two burned out light bulbs by the mirrors in the master bath, and a broken kitchen cupboard handle that sat on the counter all week. Housekeeping came in once during our stay but the bulbs or handle were not replaced. Pool and hot tub close very early, as does the activities counter for shuffle board and ping pong table equipment that is outside - that was a bummer, but the kids and other guests quietly used the hot tub "past hours" anyway. The grounds were absolutely immaculate! The crew would be out every morning raking up any debris from the palms. My husband commented more than once that he didn't see a single weed in the flower beds. The only real complaint we'd have is the charge for WIFI & Internet service; it's $25 a day and covers only four devices. In this day and age where you can walk down the street and catch it free, it's pretty antiquated to nickel and dime the guests for an everyday service we're all accustomed to. Not exactly a high end resort kind of thing to do, especially for what you pay to stay. Also, there is a 15% gratuity billed into every restaurant/counter food service. Not a big deal; something to be aware of is all as they won't be forthcoming in telling you otherwise. Overall it was a great place and we'd stay here again for convenience and value!

Great resort.

Winnipeg, Canada

It has everything you need for couples and family. Be prepared to spend money though. A great selection or restaurants and entertainment. At night if you want to dress up, you will fit right in. Or you can remain in shorts.
