Rustic charm and island hopping

Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina is located close to the centre of town in Marsh Harbour, where short ferry rides take you to the neighbouring cays, including historic Hope Town and Man-O-War Cay, the boat building capital of the Bahamas.

The oceanfront rooms and residences are vibrant, with native island furnishings and vibrant colours and tropical decor. From the balcony gaze out to the Sea of Abaco and watch passing yachts and fishing boats glide across the shimmering waters.

This laid back resort epitomises Bahamian life, spend the days exploring the islands or out at sea and the evenings relaxing in the cool evening breeze on the water front. For younger guests there is the opportunity to mix with local Bahamian children and learn about island life.

  • Range of land and water activities

Nice Place on the Beach

Good hotel overall. Maintenance slightly better than some other island hotels I've stayed in, but not perfect. Some attention to repairing and updating the vanity faucet and the shower hardware would go a long way. The main reason I gave 4 out of 5 was due to the poor Wi-Fi service. I could only get it to work properly in the pool area and the front desk area. There was no data service in room, and barely one bar good enough for texting on the balcony.

Beautiful location, lots of opportunities to improve

Troy, MI

We stayed at the Resort for 2-nights pre-sailing adventure. Everyone we talked to that worked at the resort was very nice and helpful. The location was very good, we lazed at the beach quite a bit and enjoyed walks in the marina and area. We really enjoyed using the paddle boards. A bit of a walk to the pool bar for towels and drinks as the beach bar had neither. The food at the restaurant was very good but expect breakfast or lunch to take over an hour and a half. Highly recommend walking down the street for food - lots of great choices within walking distance. Our room was ok, not $320+ a night ok though. We did have issues when all of the towels were taken out by housekeeping and not returned until we tracked someone down hours later. Our biggest issue though was on Sunday night, after the restaurant closed we had no way to get any drinks of any kind. Our schedule was way off from traveling and we missed dinner and nothing on the island was open. Could not even get a bottle of water or any food - - I hope they consider water in the rooms or a vending machine. Consider stocking up before you get there.
