Walking tours of Perth

A trip down to the modern waterfront complex provides splendid views over the clean and compact city centre. But stroll around the leafy haven of Kings Park, and you’ll start to get a feel of Australia’s natural diversity. From the harbour, take a trip to Rottnest island and experience the wild side of the coast.

Kings Park

Kings Park is one of the largest urban parks in the world, situated practically in the city centre. There are fantastic views over the Swan and Canning rivers, as well as walking trails lined with immense trees and diverse botanical gardens. This is the perfect place for a picnic and provides an oasis away from the bustle of the city.

Beaches on the Perth coast

Discover hundreds of beautiful beaches of along the Perth coast. From the central Cottesloe Beach, to the reef at Mettams Pool, or the calm waters and white sand of Leighton Beach, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Scuba divers should head underwater for a tour of the colourful coral, while sailing and surfing are a must for water sports enthusiasts.

Rottnest Island

Only a short boat trip from Perth, Rottnest Island offers a stunning coastline of tranquil rocky creeks and sandy coves. Spend a day in this tranquil oasis, soaking in the beautiful sights and finding your own secluded beach. The protected island reserve is home to Australia’s cutest rare marsupial, the Quokka. These friendly creatures are only too happy to have their photos taken.

Swan Valley

The oldest of Western Australia’s wine growing region, Swan Valley has over 40 producers and hosts regular wine tastings. You’ll find a selection of gourmet food producers where you can sample some of Australia’s delicacies. The wildlife park allows you to get up close to some of the country’s unique creatures, and you can explore the area by car, bike or by boat.
