Discover all the best areas of this wonderful region; from the tango dance and superb wine tasting to hiking in the stunning national parks. 

Beginning in the cosmopolitan capital of Buenos Aires, take a tour of the city's main sights and attractions, including the Plaza Lavalle where you’ll see the famous Casa Rosada palace. Drive along the world's widest avenue, Avenida 9 de Julio and get a flavour of the different sides of Argentina with visits to several neighbourhoods, such as the trendy and desirable San Telmo. Soak up the musical character of the city with an evening tango show.

Our journey continues on to Ushuaia, where you'll explore the city before setting off for the famous Tierra del Fuego National Park. Absorb the purity of nature with the many river crossings, native seabirds at Casco Island and colonies of Magellan and Gentoo penguins at nearby Martillo Island.

The next stop is El Calafate, where you'll spend a couple of nights and head to Los Glaciares National Park to observe the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier. This impressive glacier continues to grow and shed large chunks of ice that dramatically fall into the stunning blue Lago Argentino below, much to the delight of visitors. Return to Buenos Aires before flying home.

On the first day of your tour, you'll fly into Buenos Aires, the cosmopolitan capital of Argentina. From here, you'll be greeted at the airport and delivered to your hotel. Settle in and unpack a little before spending the rest of the day getting to know this bustling and vibrant city.
Tonight, relax over a glass of wine and a delicious dinner at one of the many restaurants in town and rest your head in preparation for the adventure to begin in earnest tomorrow.

Buenos Aires La Boca AD

Today marks the beginning of your adventure with a city tour taking in the many sights and attractions. Pass through the world's widest avenue, Avenida 9 de Julio, named after Argentina's Independence Day, and visit the government buildings in Plaza Lavalle, including the grand presidential palace, Casa Rosada. You'll also have the chance to take a look around some other notable landmarks, such as the town hall, Cabildo, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the chic district of San Telmo, favoured by the city’s wealthier residents.

Enjoy a taste of the finest coffee during a stop at a local coffee shop and continue on to the working district of La Boca, with its colourful houses and Italian character. Stop by the grave of the famed Evita Peron to pay your respects, before sitting down to a fabulous tango show in the evening.

Wake up to a hearty breakfast before deciding how best to spend today in Buenos Aires. With numerous activities and excursion on offer, a tour is an ideal way to get acquainted with the area in a short time.

Why not book a biking tour of Palermo and Recoleta, a visit to San Telmo Antique Fair or a trip to the Tigre and Delta on the Parana River? If you'd like to explore at your own pace then a trip to the 1908 opera house Teatro Colón is definitely worth a visit, as well as the Latin art filled MALBA museum. For some greenery, stop by Palermo's beautiful Parque 3 de Febrero, which features pretty lakes and gazebos.

This evening, sample some more of Buenos Aires’ fine dining and musical scene.

This morning, you'll depart Buenos Aires and take an internal flight to the resort town of Ushuaia.

Situated on the southernmost tip of Argentina, this hilltop town is encircled by the Martial Mountains and is popular for its proximity to the penguin colonies and starting point for Antarctica cruises.

Take a short city tour of Ushuaia and take in some fantastic sights, before spending the remainder of the day as you choose. Or book another optional tour.

You'll spend the first of two nights in this scenic town.

Today marks a full day's worth of exploration of Ushuaia, with some wonderful sights to behold.

Begin with the Tierra del Fuego National Park and embark on a walking trail that offers great views of the Beagle Channel, imposing mountain peaks, Patagonian forestry, ancient coihue trees and beautiful lagoons. Along the way, spot the varied wildlife, from albatrosses and geese. On Casco Island, you'll have the chance to see seabirds and on Island Los Lobos, you might be lucky enough to encounter some sea lions.

Later in the day, you'll head to Estancia Harberton and enjoy the opportunity to see the farm and hear about its missionary origins. Next, you'll set sail briefly to Martillo Island and get up close to the Magellan and Gentoo penguins. Abundant with birdlife, look out for the petrels, albatrosses and skuas in the area. We’ll Finish our sightseeing tour with a trip to the Birds and Sea Mammals Museum, before heading back to Ushuaia city.

Today you’ll take an internal flight to El Calafate and spend the day at your leisure before seeing the main attraction, Los Glaciares National Park, tomorrow.

There’s plenty to see and do in El Calafate, such as sampling the local craft beers, shopping in the local artisan markets and testing the much loved Patagonian lamb on the Avenida del Libertador San Martín. 

It’s also a good base for walking and cycling. Nearby Cerro Frías is a popular spot for a fantastic view. From here you’ll be able to see Torres del Paine, the stunning Lago Argentino and Centinela River.

Tonight, you’ll spend the first of two nights at your hotel in El Calafate.

This morning marks a day out exploring the Perito Morena Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park. This National Park is full of vivid colours, ice topped glaciers, beautiful lakes and excellent hiking routes. 

The main attraction, the Perito Morena Glacier, is about 5 kilometres long and 170 metres high and regularly sheds chunks of ice into the Lago Argentino below. It’s quite the spectacle.

Head back to El Calafate for an evening of dining at one of the many excellent restaurants.

On your last full day in Argentina, you'll take an internal flight from El Calafate back to Buenos Aires, where you'll be taken to your hotel and have the chance to explore the city for a final time.
