Start your trip with a stay in ‘gateway to the South’, Atlanta where you can step back in time with a visit to some of the sights along the Gone with the Wind trail or embrace the cosmopolitan side of this vibrant city which is home to CNN and the World of Coca-Cola. Learn about the important part Montgomery had in the Civil Rights movement on the first stop of your Deep South journey before heading to the coast and the party city of Mobile, birthplace of Mardi Gras in America. Next up is ‘The Big Easy’, spend some time explore New Orleans’ historic French Quarter and be sure to stop by one of the lively bars on Bourbon Street before heading up through Mississippi. Discover some of the markers along the Mississippi Blues trail as you make your way through Jackson and Tupelo on your way to Memphis, make time to stop by the birthplace of Elvis before reaching the ‘home of the Blues’. Be sure to stop by his former home Graceland when you visit Memphis, home of the Blues, before heading on to Country Music Capital Nashville. Stop in Chattanooga for a visit to beautiful Lookout Mountain before heading back to Atlanta to return your motorhome.

Atlanta
Welcome to Atlanta, take walk around the beautiful downtown area. Visit Centennial Olympic Park or the Georgia Aquarium, take a backstage tour at CNN and try some new flavours at the World of Coca-Cola.
Atlanta to Montgomery (155 miles)
After picking up your motorhome from the Cruise America office its an easy two and a half hour drive along the interstate into Alabama where you will stop at the State Capital, Montgomery.
Montgomery to Mobile (185 miles)
Head down to the clear waters of the Gulf and the beautiful coastal city of Mobile today. Visit the Battleships at Memorial Park or stop by the historic Conde-Charlotte House.
Mobile to New Orleans (160 miles)
Cross over to Louisiana as you head down to the Big Easy today. Famous as the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans is a vibrant city where you will find historic sights,fantastic restaurants and a lively nightlife. Take a stroll through the French Quarter, visit Jackson Square and try a beignet at Cafe Du Monde or take a trolley ride through the Garden District to see the beautiful mansions.
New Orleans to Jackson (180 miles)
Leave New Orleans and Jazz behind today as you head on into Elvis country. The Journey to 'Elvis Town' is a long one so break up your trip with a stop in Jackson, the State Capital of Mississippi. Visit The Old Capitol, the Governor's Mansion and the Capitol Building.
Jackson to Tupelo (160 miles)
Journey along the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway as you make your way to Tupelo, the town where Elvis was born and lived until he was 13. Stop by the Elvis Presley's birthplace and museum dedicated to his life.
Tupelo to Memphis (110 miles)
Your drive today takes you through the Holly Springs National Forest as you wind your way to Memphis. Take a tour of Elvis' iconic former home Graceland, stop in some of bars and restaurants along lively Beale Street and learn about the cities musical legacy at Sun Studios and the Rock 'n' Soul Museum.
Memphis to Nashville (230 miles)
Your trip today will take you from the Home of the Blues to the Country Music Capitol. Nashville is the city that saw country music legends like Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash become international stars. If you are visiting on a Tuesday, Friday or Saturday be sure to catch the Grand Ole Opry show.
Nashville to Chattanooga (140 miles)
Journey down to Chattanooga today, the last stop on your Depp South adventure. Visit the Lookout Mountain battlefields aboard the Incline Railway, enjoy a trip aboard the Southern Belle Riverboat, stroll around downtown Chattanooga or explore the Raccoon Mountain Caverns.
Chattanooga to Atlanta (130 miles)
Cross back over into Georgia today as you head down to Atlanta to drop off your motorhome back at the Cruise America rental centre.
