Upon your arrival into the vibrant Vancouver, enjoy the afternoon at leisure to discover and explore the city skyline.
Sonora Resort
Get ready to depart Vancouver as you board your flight to Sonora Resort in the Discovery Islands. Check-in to your luxurious room and enjoy the finest dinner created by Chef Terry Pichor. Sonora is a true all-inclusive resort boasting fantastic outdoor amenities including a swimming pool, hiking and biking trails, tennis court, fishing and more. Spend your two nights at Sonora relaxing, unwinding and of course - exploring.
Sonora to Vancouver
Wave goodbye to Sonora as you fly back to Vancouver ready to board your Rocky Mountaineer train tomorrow.
Vancouver to Kamloops
Step on-board the magnificent Rocky Mountaineer as you head from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops. Prepare yourself for some outstanding and dramatic scenery changes, as you go from lush green fields of Fraser Valley to the winding river canyons at the bottom of Cascade Mountains. Concluding the day as alongside the Kamloops Lake, head to your overnight accommodation to rest.
Kamloops to Jasper
Continue your journey north east into the province of Alberta where you will once again be surrounded by incredible scenery. Gaze upon the spectacular Mount Robson, standing at nearly 13,000 feet - it is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Climb the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park where you will disembark and spend the night.
Jasper Highlights
Jasper National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Rockies largest national park. Enjoy your half-day tour of the parks natural attractions and wildlife. Spend the rest of your day at leisure to explore the park at your own pace.
Jasper to Banff
Onward to Banff via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. Stop to take pictures at the Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Discover the glacier in a giant six-wheel drive ice explorer vehicle as you listen to the history and interesting geological features.
Banff to Lake Louise
Enjoy a half-day tour into Yoho National Park where you will see some of the fantastic attractions of the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. The tour will end in Lake Louise where you will have time to explore at your own pace. Spend the night in Lake Louise.
Lake Louise to Calgary
Spend your morning exploring Banff and the amazing sights of Bow Falls, Like Minnewanka and the Hoodoos before heading to Kananaskis for a breath-taking 12 minute panoramic helicopter tour over the magnificent rockies landscape. The tour tour ends upon arrival in Calgary where you will spend the night.
Calgary - End of Tour
Today marks the end of your Rocky Mountaineer journey as you checkout from your Calgary hotel.
