Begin your journey in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Banff, before taking the two day journey across lush landscapes and soaring mountain peaks westbound to Vancouver. After some time to explore this cosmopolitan city it's time to embark on your seven day cruise aboard Holland America's ms Koningsdam along the Inside Passage to Alaska. This journey can also be booked in reverse order, starting in Vancouver followed by the Alaska cruise and finishing with the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer train to Banff.

Arrive in Banff and spend the rest of the day sightseeing in this picturesque mountain town. Overnight in Banff.
Banff to Kamloops
This morning board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer train and enjoy the spectacular scenery as you travel through the Canadian Rockies past the Kicking Horse Canyon and through the Spiral Tunnels en route to Kamloops where you will arrive this evening. Overnight in Kamloops.
Kamloops to Vancouver
Return to the Rocky Mountaineer train this morning to continue your journey westwards towards Vancouver. Today you will see a dramatic change in scenery from forests to winding river canyons and lush green fields. You will arrive in Vancouver this evening and spend the night here.
Enjoy a six hour sightseeing tour of Vancouver's North Shore. Highlights include the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Treetops Adventure, Grouse Mountain, Vancouver Peak and the Lions Gate Bridge. Overnight in Vancouver.
Board in Vancouver
Today you will arrive at the Vancouver Cruise Terminal where you will board Holland America's ms Koningsdam cruise. Overnight on board the ship.
Cruise the Inside Package
The ship will depart Vancouver for you to begin your epic sail through the dramatic Inside Passage en route to Alaska. Overnight on board the ship.
Port of Call Juneau, Alaska
The town of Juneau is located at the foot of grand mountain peaks nearby to the Mendenhall Glacier and Juneau Icefields. As there are long daylight hours here there is plenty of time for you to explore the town's rustic shops, take a hike, set out on a whale watching excursion or explore the Tongass National Forest. Overnight on board the ship.
Port of Call Skagway, Alaska
Arrive in Skagway where you can explore the Klondike Gold Rush National Park, the Trail of '98 Museum and the Red Onion Saloon complete with honky tonk piano and costumed barmaids. Today is all about taking a walk down memory lane. Overnight on board the ship.
Glacier Bay Scenic Cruise
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Glacier Bay National Park protects a unique ecosystem of animals and plants in this breathtaking glacial landscape. Listen out for the thunderous sound of ice splitting off from a glacier as it crashes into the sea, shooting water hundreds of feet into the air. Overnight on board the ship.
Port of Call Ketchikan, Alaska
Today you will have the opportunity to explore Ketchikan's main attractions including Creek Street, Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park and Saxman Village. Deep water fjords created by retreating glaciers have left behind stunning granite cliffs towering thousands of feet above the sea and countless waterfalls cascading into placid waters. Overnight on board the ship.
Cruise the Inside Passage
Enjoy sailing through the dramatic Inside Passage on your way back down towards Vancouver. Overnight on board the ship.
Disembark in Vancouver
After breakfast you will arrive in Vancouver where you will disembark the ship after an epic journey.
