Spend a couple of days exploring Vancouver, take a walk along the sea wall, take a trip to the top of Grouse Mountain, brave the Capilano suspension bridge or grab a bite to eat at Granville Island.

Pick up your Cruise Canada motorhome today before heading to Vancouver Island. You will need to have checked ferry times and booked for the Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay Ferry, which will take you on a 90 minute trip across the Alaska Marine Highway to Victoria. Watch out for whales as you make this journey. As you drive to Victoria make sure you stop at Butchart Gardens, enjoy the spectacular colours of the gardens. Victoria set on a beautiful harbour, British Columbia's capital city is home to fantastic seafood, classic architecture and stunning ocean views.

Leave the city behind as your drive through the rugged Malahat highland. Make sure you stop at a winery or a cider-house to sample some locally produced wine or cider. The Malahat Summit provides a number of stunning vantage points for you to view the Saanich Inlet. The lowland valleys are ripe with lush farmland and orchards and rivers full of Steelhead trout. Cross over to the coast and follow the route to Campbell River.

Located on the northwest tip of Vancouver Island, Port Hardy is know as the place where the highway ends and adventure begins. Look out for killer whale pods and schools of dolphin. Cape Scott Provincial Park, on the northern point of the Island provides a great opportunity to explore the 14 mile beach where seals and seal lions play offshore. Visit Cormorant Channel Provincial Park on the way to your campsite in Telegraph Cove.

Head back down the island to Qualicum Bay, for much of you way between Courtenay and Campbell River the Island Highway runs beside Qualicum Bay. Pullouts beside the road give you easy access to the bay's sand and pebble beaches. Stop by Little Qualicum Falls for a great photo opportunity.

You only have a short drive today to enjoy Vancouver Island's second city, Nanaimo. Ideally located between Mount Benson and the Straights of Georgia, Nanaimo not only boast a stunning backdrop but also a thriving local arts and music scene. Visit The Bastion, the Hudson Bay Company's old fortress and stop for a drink at the historic Palace Hotel.

The Horseshoe Bay - Departure Bay Ferry is only ten minutes from your campground. You will need to have booked the Early Bird Departure Special with Cruise Canada so you can return your motorhome in the afternoon today. Your ferry crossing is about two hours and then from Horseshoe Bay drive back to Cruise Canada's office in Delta.
