A popular summer holiday destination, Cape Cod is one of America’s classic seaside spots. The region is filled with adorable seaside towns, remote beaches and looming cliffs, making it the ideal retreat from the nearby cities.
As there are over 40 miles of stretching coastline, it means that even in the busy summer months you won’t have to venture too far to discover an empty beach. Some of the popular towns to visit include historic Provincetown and laid back Chatham.
For an island getaway, hop on the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. Both spots are full of pale beaches and beautiful natural scenery. And wildlife lovers can embark on a whale watching excursion to observe the majestic giants cruising in their natural habitat.
Cape Cod is known for its delicious fresh seafood, so don’t miss the chance to sample the region’s luscious Cape lobsters or the local saltwater taffy.
