Destination 2: Antigua
Life's a beach in Antigua, but the beach is only the beginning.
Scattered along the otherwise flawless coastline are the ruins of British forts, whilst the capital, St John's is home to pastel painted wooden houses. Head south to Shirley Heights for the island's biggest weekly party, 'Jump Up' and dip beneath the waves off the coast of the tiny uninhabited islet of Prickly Pear. Alternatively, stretch outon a sun lounger surrounded byperfect white sands and the sparkling Caribbean sea.
Destination 1: British Virgin Islands
With regular ferries between the islands, The British Virgin Islands beg to be explored.
In the capital Tortola, Road Town has an eclectic mix of bars and restaurants and is the most populated island. Virgin Gorda, named the 'Fat Virgin' by Christopher Columbus, has natural tidal pools known as 'The Baths' and a lush mountain forest. Whilst Jost Van Dyke, named after a Dutch pirateer, is an island stuck in time, with the beach acting as the main road!
