Arrive in Los Angeles
Get ready to start your Wild West adventure in fabulous Los Angeles. Take the shuttle to your hotel to meet your EagleRider guide and fellow riders. After the meet and greet, the evening is yours to spend how you like. Head to Hollywood for dinner or see the sights of the famous Santa Monica Pier. Or, if you’d prefer, relax and recover from your journey at the hotel - tomorrow’s going to be a busy day.
Los Angeles – Palm Springs
It’s time to hit the highway and start your road trip of a lifetime. After breakfast, you’ll be taken to EagleRider in Los Angeles to collect your bike and attend orientation. Then you’ll ride to the beautiful blue waters of Lake Elsinore for lunch.
In the afternoon, your tour heads onwards to Palm Springs, along a spectacular route through the San Bernardino Forest and past the grand peaks of the San Jacinto Mountains. The day ends on a high, with more spectacular views as you descend into Palm Springs. You can spend the first evening of your trip relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere of the town.
Palm Springs – Laughlin
It’s time to visit one of the most enchanting and mystical places on earth: Joshua Tree National Park. This vast desert is home to wacky trees, ancient rock formations and a moon-like landscape you won’t see anywhere else on earth.
From here, it’s onwards past Twenty Nine Palms to see another equally remarkable landscape: the Mojave Desert. At this point, your trip takes a very special turn onto the road you’ve been waiting to ride on: the celebrated American highway, Route 66.
Laughlin – Grand Canyon
Your ride continues today along one of the oldest remaining stretches of the ‘mother road’ and what is known as the heart of Route 66, to the historic towns of Kingman and Seligman.
Your afternoon is spent on this ride of a lifetime as you edge closer to the majestic Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It’s so immense in size and scale it can only be seen to be believed.
Grand Canyon – Monument Valley (Kayenta
Rise early and spend the morning at the Grand Canyon savouring some of the most photographed views on the planet. After you’ve feasted on the sights of the vast canyon, you’ll cruise along the South Rim to exit the park and leave one natural wonder for another – Monument Valley.
Monument Valley is the quintessential American frontier landscape. The valley is home to impressive sandstone buttes that rise from the ground in vibrant hues of red and orange. The largest butte towers a massive 1,000 feet above the valley floor. For an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever, you can take an optional tour of the valley led by a Navajo guide who will share stories of their people and the history of this sacred place.
Monument Valley (Kayenta) – Bryce Canyon
Step back in time to the Gold Rush era. After spending the night in Monument Valley, you’ll travel to the former gold mining camp of Mexican Hat, cheerfully named after a large local rock that is shaped like a sombrero. After stopping here, you’ll ride past the Valley of the Gods and onto beautiful Lake Powell, which covers nearly 2,000 miles of shoreline and is dotted with water-filled canyons.
This afternoon is all about nature, as you ride along the tip of the Capitol Reef National Park, the rugged terrain of the Devil’s Backbone, and through the wilds of Escalante before stopping in Bryce Canyon to rest for the night.
Bryce Canyon – Las Vegas
Explore Bryce Canyon in the morning before riding onto the equally impressive Zion Canyon. Bryce Canyon is characterised by its impressive hoodoo, as tall spires of rock jut out of the ground like sandstone totem poles. Zion National Park is home to some of the most intricate, unique and beautiful rock formations in the world, and is known for its deep-red cliffs.
After exploring the terrain of Zion Canyon and Bryce Canyon, it’s time for your final ride. What better place to end your incredible American road trip than in Las Vegas?
