For wildlife observers and animal lovers, there’s no better destination to visit than the Galapagos Islands. The archipelago lies 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador and is teeming with plenty of exotic animals that roam the land and swim in the sparkling waters. To observe such creatures in their vibrant natural environment in sublime comfort and luxury, hop onboard the M/V Galapagos Legend. Over four days you’ll cruise to different islands to spot a variety of exciting fauna.
Your days will feel nothing short of magical as you navigate the blue ocean, seeking magnificent animals and birds that are rare to spot anywhere else on earth. Keep your eyes peeled for flocks of native birds and the spectacular creatures that inspired Charles Darwin to pen his pioneering book on evolutionary biology, the Origin of Species.
You’ll share the earth with the archipelago’s most renowned residents, the majestic and slow moving Galapagos giant tortoises. In the skies, glimpse the colourful local birds such as frigates and red-footed, blue-footed and Nazca boobies. On the coast gawk at the playful sea lions frolicking in the clear waters and keep an eye out for cruising young sharks.
It’s not all about the wildlife either. The Galapagos Islands boast beautiful natural landscapes, and you’ll spend your days ambling along caster sugar white sand beaches fringed with lush vegetation. Hike leafy trails that transport you to viewpoints. Many offer panoramic vistas of volcanic rock peaks, glimmering blue sea, sandy beaches and verdant forests.
Each day, retreat to your comfortable and luxurious cabin on the M/V Galapagos Legend to rest and relax. Catering for 100 guests, you’ll soon create fantastic friendships that are only developed when sharing such an experience. Enjoy the delicious cuisine served on board and unwind on the deck as you soak up the surrounding scenery.
