Salt Lake City
Your tour begins in Utah’s conservative capital of Salt Lake City. You’ll meet with your tour director before venturing off on your own mission to explore the city’s highlights. If you have the time make sure to visit Temple Square, a perfectly manicured plaza and Mormon Centre. We also recommend you venture to the historic landmark that is the Utah State Capitol Building, and the beautiful Red Butte botanical garden. If you are looking for places to eat, why not finish off the day with an indulgent dinner and jaw-dropping views at the Roof Restaurant near your hotel.
Salt Lake City - Canyonlands National Park - Moab
The first National Park on your itinerary is Canyonlands National Park, which features a dramatic desert landscape masterfully crafted by the Colorado River itself. Investigate the detailed rock paintings in Horseshoe Canyon, stare across the dry, wind-swept sand from the top of the Island in the Sky mesa, and relish the view of the towering rock pinnacles known as ‘the Needles’.
Conclude your adventures in Moab, where you will be spending the night.
Moab - Arches National Park - Moab
The highlight of your next stop, Arches National Park, is the thousands of natural sandstone arches, which give the park its name. Arches National Park is also home to an array of artistically-balanced rock formations and a myriad of rich colours that decorate the skyline. Make your day all the more memorable with an optional Jet Boat Float excursion across the Colorado River before driving back to your base in Moab for the evening.
Moab - Capitol Reef National Park - Bryce Canyon National Park
Witness the white sandstone domes in Capitol Reef National Park today. You’ll catch sight of the lofty monoliths of Cathedral Valley and the majestic Hickman Bridge arch before moving on to Bryce Canyon National Park for the afternoon. Here, you will be treated to an expanse of intense colours and formations, including red rocks, pink cliffs and limitless vistas. Spend the night here and be sure to spend some time gazing up at the magical sky, magnificently dotted with twinkling stars as far as the eye can see.
Bryce Canyon National Park - Lake Powell - Grand Canyon National Park - Flagstaff
The next leg of your tour takes you to the clear, sparkling waters of Lake Powell, a popular attraction that welcomes millions of visitors each year. From here, you will move onto the world-renowned Grand Canyon National Park for a face-to-face meeting with the Grand Canyon, stretching for approximately 227 miles in total. Look downward at the mile-deep canyon’s sinking gorges, sharp spires and, just below the rim, the gushing Colorado River. After witnessing this spectacle, it’s time to drive to Flagstaff, your haven for the night.
Flagstaff - Seligman/Route 66 - Las Vegas
Travel via Route 66 through the old school town of Seligman on your way to Las Vegas, the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’. Seligman is home to numerous specialty shops, which are ideal for picking up some Route 66 memorabilia and souvenirs to take home to your friends and family.
Upon your arrival in Las Vegas, spend the remainder of your day and evening lapping up the exuberant nightlife which the famous Las Vegas Strip is so well-known for. You can catch a show, dine at world-class restaurants, or hit the casinos and try your luck at the tables or machines.
