Take a cool hike under tall canopies, along the Gilpin trail to see a fantastic gold and silver waterfall, lush flora, wildlife and a variety of bird species that all live in the rainforest.
This is a great opportunity to experience some of the world’s rarest bird species, including the white tail sabre wing hummingbird, the blue back manikin and a blue emperor butterfly. A visit to a small nature reserve plantation on your return journey gives you another close up view of Tobago's birds and butterflies. You may wish to take sensible trekking shoes and insect repellent with you.
