Full Itinerary

Day 1 - Heathrow / Colombo
Depart on the evening SriLankan Airlines flight to Colombo.

Day 2 - Colombo
Upon arrival transfer to the Holiday Inn.

Day 3 - Colombo/Galle/Yala
After breakfast, leave for Yala, en route visit a turtle hatchery, the Galle Fortress, Weherahena Temple and witness the Blow Hole. Check in at the Yala Village Hotel for two nights. (B, D)

Day 4 - Yala
Morning at leisure and afternoon jeep safari of Yala National Park. This is your chance to see elephant, best time from January. You may be lucky enough to see sambar and spotted deer, wild boar, crocodile, wild buffalo and monkeys. There are also chances of seeing sloth bears, jackals and mongoose. (B,D)

Day 5 - Yala/Udawalawe
After breakfast, leave for Tanamalwila, en route visit the Buddhist Temples and Pagodas at Tissamaharama. Upon arrival at Tanamalwila, check in at the Centuria Inn. In the late afternoon, take a jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park. This is the place in Sri Lanka to see wild elephant and over 150 species of birds. (B,D)

Day 6 - Udawalawe/Nuwara Eliya
Late morning check out and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en route visit the Buduruvagala Temple, Diyaluma Falls and Dowa Temple. Lunch is at a local guesthouse. Upon arrival at Nuwara Eliya, check in at the Grand Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya/Beach or Heathrow
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Nuwara Eliya. Return to the hotel and check out in the afternoon for the airport or proceed to the beach resort of your choice.

Yala is closed during Sep and Oct, during this period you will visit nearby Udawalawe National Park and overnight at Centuria Inn, Embilipitiya. Local conditions prevalent at the time of travel may result in relatively minor modifications to the tour content.
