Full Itinerary
Day 1 - Heathrow/Kuala Lumpur
Non-stop overnight flight on Malaysia Airlines.
Day 2 - Kuala Lumpur
Transfer to The Equatorial Hotel for 2 nights. (RO)
Day 3 - Kuala Lumpur
At leisure. (B)
Day 4 - Kuala Lumpur/Kota Kinabalu
Malaysia Airlines to Kota Kinabalu, in the Sabah region of Borneo. Transfer to Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort for 3 nights. (RO)
Day 5 - Kota Kinabalu
A full-day tour of Kinabalu Park. Located 1623 m above sea level and covering an area of 754sq km, the Kinabalu Park is home to Mount Kinabalu and a botanist’s paradise with several varities of orchids, rhododendrons, ferns and other plants, and hundreds of species of rare birds. In the morning take a jungle trail through the tropical mountain forest and, after lunch, continue on to Poring, where you will enjoy the dramatically different landscape of the lowland rainforest. Day 6 - Kota Kinabalu

Day 7 - Kota Kinabalu/Kuching
Early morning flight to Kuching and the East Malaysian state of Sarawak on Borneo’s northwest coast, with an intriguing past of legendary Headhunters. Transfer to the Hilton Kuching for overnight stay. Afternoon city tour. (RO)
Day 8 - Kuching/Lemanak River
Just after dawn, depart for the Lemanak River and journey by road passing through lush green countryside dotted with paddy fields, pepper gardens and rubber plantations, and flanked by rugged jungle-clad mountains. Along the way, stop off at the Serian farmer’s market, visit a pepper garden and view carnivorous pitcher plants. Stop for lunch at a roadside bazaar deep in Iban country. Arrive at Lemanak jetty mid-afternoon for a longboat ride up the Lemanak River, passing through typical Borneo countryside with an ancient longhouse tucked behind almost every bend in the river. Overnight at Serubah Longhouse, a traditional ‘longhouse’. Please note: this accommodation is not air-conditioned and has very basic facilities. (B,L,D)
Day 9 - Lemanak River/Damai Beach
After a morning in the tribal village, travel by river back to Kuching. Transfer to the Damai Beach Resort for two nights. Located on 90 acres of prime sea-front land overlooking the South China Sea and framed by the lush tropical forest of Mount Santubong, this resort style property offers land and sea-sports activities for complete fun and relaxation, and a variety of dining and entertainment options. Day 10 - Damai Beach
At leisure. (RO)
Day 11 - Kuching/Kuala Lumpur/Heathrow
Transfer back to Kuching. Fly Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur to connect with flight to Heathrow.
Day 12 - Heathrow
Early morning arrival at Heathrow.
