Full Itinerary

Day 1 - Heathrow / Delhi
Overnight non-stop Virgin Atlantic flight to Delhi

Day 2 - Heathrow/Delhi
Arrive into bustling Delhi and you will be met and transferred to your chosen city hotel. (B)

Day 3 - Delhi
After breakfast leave for a full day tour of New and Old Delhi. Journey past Parliament House, visiting Humayun’s tomb, continue past Red Fort built in 1648 and Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. In the afternoon take a tour of New Delhi, designed by the British as contrast to Old Delhi. (B)

Day 4 - Delhi/Agra
After breakfast you will be driven to Agra (4.5hrs). Prepare to explore the ancient architectural wonders of Agra, still associated with the Mughal period. (B)

Day 5 - Agra
Start early today and visit the famous Taj Mahal before the crowds descend. The greatest of all India’s monuments – the Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more, taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, it was built by Emperior Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife. This is undoubtedly the world’s ultimate photo opportunity. Return to your hotel for breakfast and later visit Agra Fort before returning to your hotel. (B)

Day 6 - Agra/Jaipur
After an early breakfast, set off for Jaipur (5hrs) via Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city. On arrival in Jaipur check in to your chosen hotel and spend an afternoon at leisure. This, by far the most colourful region in India is Rajasthan, a kingdom which is an enduring legacy to India’s history. Jaipur’s history is never to far from hand – the ‘city of victory’ presides over the fascinating desert state and its people, surrounded by rugged hills crowned with palaces, forts and splendid monuments. (B)

Day 7 - Jaipur
After breakfast journey to see the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort. Enroute to Amber Fort you will drive past the ‘Palace of Winds’, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal. After lunch you will tour Jaipur, highlights include the Maharaja’s City Palace, an over-whelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards adorned with decorative art and carved doorways. Later visit Jantar Mantar, the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Return to hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 8 - Jaipur/Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel and drive back to Delhi (6hrs) to check into the hotel of your choice. (B) Day 9 Delhi/Heathrow: After breakfast depart for the airport and your return flight home, alternatively your onward connection to your chosen beach destination. (B)
