Full Itinerary
Day 1 - London Heathrow to Delhi
Overnight non-stop Jet Airways flight to Delhi.
Day 2 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay, overnight in the Crowne Plaza (B).
Day 3 - Delhi
After breakfast depart for a sightseeing tour of New & Old Delhi. Visit the 12th century Qutab
Minar, gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234ft. Visit the mausoleum of emperor
Humayun - a forerunner of the Mughal style of architecture and the imposing modern Lakshminarayan
temple and drive past the India Gate (a war memorial dedicated to the lives of laid down by the
Indian soldiers). Old Delhi takes you to the Raj Ghat (memorial to Mahatma Gandhi), Jama Masjid,
- the largest mosque in India. Overnight in the Crowne Plaza (B).
Day 4 - Delhi to Agra
After breakfast depart Delhi for Agra (5hrs/205km), rest of day at leisure.
Overnight in the Jaypee Palace (B).
Day 5 - Agra
Visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz
Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel took 17 years to complete and
is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble (please note the Taj Mahal
is closed on Friday). Later visit the Agra Fort containing private and public halls and other
palaces. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the Jaypee Palace (B).
Day 6 - Agra to Jaipur
After breakfast leave Agra for Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (5.5hrs/232km). The deserted city
of Fatehpur Sikri was built in 1569 and was used as the capital for 14 years. Visit the
remarkably well preserved, graceful and grand buildings within the 'Ghost City'. Upon arrival
in Jaipur check-in at the Golden Tulip for overnight (B).
Day 7 - Jaipur
After breakfast depart for the Amber Fort. Take an elephant (subject to availability on
arrival) up to the classic, romantic Rajasthani Palace. In the afternoon take a sightseeing
tour of the city visiting the Maharaja's City Palace, the former Royal residence and later
visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world.
Overnight at the Golden Tulip (B).
Day 8 - Jaipur to Delhi
Depart for Delhi (5hrs/257km). Overnight at the Heritage Village Manesar, close to Delhi (B).
Day 9 - Delhi
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight (B).
