Full Itinerary

Day 1 - Heathrow / Luxor
Afternoon EgyptAir flight to Luxor. If this flight is not available you will depart a day earlier, travelling via Cairo, and overnight at Fairmont Heliopolis before flying down to Luxor. On arrival, transfer to MS Magic. (D)

Day 2 - Luxor/Esna
Take an optional excursion to the West Bank including the valley of the Kings and East Bank including the Karnak temple, before proceeding to Esna. (B,L,D)

Day 3 - Esna / Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan
Sail to Edfu and visit the temple of Horus, before sailing on to Kom Ombo and then proceeding to Aswan to overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 4 - Aswan
Enjoy optional excursions around Aswan including the Aswan High Dam and a motorboat trip on the Nile. Overnight in Aswan on board the MS Magic. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Aswan
After an opportunity to fly to Abu Simbel in the early morning, transfer to the Basma Hotel. (B,L)

Day 6 - Aswan / Cairo
After a morning EgyptAir flight to Cairo, transfer to the Intercontinental Pyramids Park, Giza (see p.98). (B)

Day 7 - Cairo
Spend today at leisure, undertaking your own explorations. See the nearby Pyramids and Sphinx. (B)

Day 8 - Cairo / Heathrow
Depart on your afternoon EgyptAir flight, non-stop to Heathrow, arriving late afternoon or fly to Sharm El Sheikh for your beach extension. (B)

Esna Lock closure: During the closure of the Esna Lock (in June and Dec 2009), cruise boats will be moored at Esna, incurring slightly longer journeys to/from Luxor for sightseeing. Please ask our Travel Consultants for further details.
