Images of the Nile

Prepare for a fascinating educational journey, back to the ancient civilization of Egypt and the land of the pharaohs, aboard our luxury boat, the M.S Magic. Cruise the Nile and watch the peaceful goings-on of every day life, whilst relaxing on the sun deck.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 - Gatwick / Luxor
Morning flight on EgyptAir to Egypt. On arrival, transfer to the MS Magic (page 94). (D)

Day 2 - Luxor / Esna
Take an optional morning excursion to the West Bank including Valley of the Kings. In the afternoon travel to Esna to overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 3 - Esna / Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan
Sail to Edfu, and visit the temple of Horus before sailing to Kom Ombo and then proceeding to Aswan to overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 4 - Aswan
Take an optional morning excursion around Aswan including the Aswan High Damn and an afternoon motorboat trip on the Nile. Overnight in Aswan. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Aswan / Kom Ombo
After an opportunity to fly to Abu Simbel in the early morning, in the afternoon sail back to Kom Ombo for the night. (B,L,D)

Day 6 - Kom Ombo / Esna / Luxor
Sail to Esna then onwards to Luxor to overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 7 - Luxor
Take an optional morning excursion to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples. Spend the afternoon at leisure. (B,L,D)

Day 8 - Luxor / Gatwick
Spend the morning at leisure, before your EgyptAir flight home, arriving the same evening. (B,L)

Please Note:

Esna Lock closure: During the closure of the Esna Lock (in June and Dec 2009), cruise boats will be moored at Esna, incurring slightly longer journeys to/from Luxor for sightseeing. Please ask our Travel Consultants for further details.

• Edfu - The Temple of Horus (day 3) • Kom Ombo and The Temple of Sobek (day 3)
• Aswan - High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, Philae Temple and Motorboat or felucca trip on the Nile (day 4)
• East Bank - Luxor and Karnak Temples (day 7).
