Full Itinerary

Day 1 - Heathrow/Nairobi/Mombasa
Overnight Kenya Airways flight from UK

Day 2 - Mombasa/Ngutuni
Met on arrival and transfer to Ngutuni Lodge, situated in the 10,000 acre Ngutuni Game Sanctuary adjoining Tsavo East (2.5hrs). Lunch followed by afternoon game drive in the sanctuary. Overnight at Ngutuni Safari Lodge. (L, D).

Day 3 - Ngutuni/Tsavo East
Morning and afternoon game drives in Tsavo East (or optional full-day with picnic lunch). Overnight at Ngutuni Safari Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Tsavo East/Tsavo West
After breakfast, set out for Tsavo West (1.5hrs), with a brief game drive en route to Ngulia Lodge. Lunch followed by an afternoon game drive including a visit to Mzima Springs, where an underwater viewing hide allows you to watch hippo 'moon walking' in the crystal clear waters. Overnight at Ngulia Safari Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 5 - Tsavo West/Amboseli
Drive to Amboseli, crossing the spectacular Shetani Lava Flows en route, then skirt around the foot hills of Mount Kilimanjaro (2hrs). Lunch on arrival followed by an afternoon game drive. Chance to see some of Kenya's largest elephant herds and enjoy lovely views of Mount Kilimanjaro, usually best seen at dawn and dusk. Overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - Amboseli
Morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli, Kenya's first National Park. Overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 7 - Amboseli/Ziwani
Drive to Ziwani Tented Camp, close to the border with Tanzania and on the edge of Tsavo West National Park (3hrs). Lunch and remainder of afternoon to relax, view the hippo in the river at the front of the camp or take a guided nature walk. Night game drive in search of bushbabies, genet cats, porcupine, grazing hippo and even some elusive big cats. Overnight at Ziwani Tented Camp. (B,L,D)

Day 8 - Ziwani/Tsavo East
Early morning guided walk with the camp's resident naturalist. Leave Ziwani and drive through the Taita Hills area en route to Ngutuni. Stop for lunch at Ngutuni Lodge, before continuing to Mombasa (2.5hrs), arriving at Whitesands for overnight stay. Alternative beach hotels may be substituted at the appropriate cost. (B,L,D)

Day 9 - Mombasa/Nairobi/Heathrow
Kenya Airways flight to UK. (B)

Please Note:
Timings are approximate and will vary according to road conditions, weather and traffic volumes. Safaris are not recommended for children under 8 years, due to the road transfers and lack of children's facilities. Only soft-sided luggage is permitted on safari due to space restrictions in the safari vehicle. Excess baggage can be left at your Mombasa hotel to be collected on return from your safari.
