Day 1 London Heathrow to Rio de Janeiro
British Airways flight to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer to the Windsor Excelsior Copacabana for 3 night stay.
Overnight accommodation - Windsor Excelsior Copacabana Room only
Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
A half-day tour of this remarkable city will take you to see the splendid old Candelaria Church, Opera House, Carioca Square, as well as the modern Pretrobras headquarters and the new Cathedral. Drive through the Flamengo Park, for a privileged view of the top highlight of this tour, the Sugar Loaf, and reach the summit by cable car to enjoy the most spectacular views of the world and one you will never forget. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro
Today is at leisure and you will be able to join one of the optional tours. We recommend the half-day beaches and Corcovado tour (not included in the price, bookable locally). You will board a cog-railway for the ride through the Tijuca Forest up to the Corcovado Mountain. Take a closer look at the forest's lush tropical vegetation and enjoy scenic landscapes of the beaches and city. At the top of the Corcovado, walk up the steps for a breathtaking view from the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. Continue your tour passing by some of Rio's beaches. Rest of afternoon at leisure.

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro to Iguaçu
After breakfast, transfer to Rio International Airport for flight to Iguaçu. Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel Bourbon Cataratas for 2 nights. Later in the afternoon visit the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu Falls. You will walk along the paths following cascades, then along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of the Devil's Throat to enjoy magnificent views of the cataracts.

Day 5 Iguaçu
Today visit the Argentinean side of the falls. Leave the Brazilian side through the scenic highway up to the Argentinean Iguaçu National Park. From the visitors' centre, follow on foot the Superior Circuit, the up-river cascades, to the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls, and then you will take the Ecological Jungle Train that leads visitors to the Devil's Throat. Return to the hotel on the Brazilian side. Rest of afternoon at leisure.

Day 6 Iguaçu to Heathrow or alternative destination
Transfer back to Iguaçu airport for your onward British Airways flight to London Heathrow via Rio de Janeiro. Alternatively, for those who would like to explore more of Brazil, we can offer a choice of city or beach extensions. Breakfast
