Day 1: Kigali
Upon arrival in Kigali you will be met and transferred to Virunga Conservation Area and the rest of the day is at leisure. If there is time you may like to organise a visit the local markets and villages. Overnight at the Gorilla Volcanoes Hotel (D).

Day 2: Virunga Conservation Area
This morning you will receive a briefing by the Volcanoes National Park guides on how to behave in the forest and in the presence of mountain gorillas, before entering the park for a gorilla trek which will take you until around midday. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world. Make sure to take plenty of water and a good camera! It can rain at a few minutes notice, so waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film. After the trek, lunch will be served at your hotel where you will spend the night. (B,L)
Overnight accommodation - Kigali Serena Hotel
Day 3: Kigali
After breakfast, there is a city tour and visit to the Genocide Museum followed by a transfer to Kigali Airport to connect for your onward flight. (B)
