Hayes & Jarvis will celebrate 55 years of creating tailor-made itineraries in 2007. Our focus has always been on providing value for money, quality holidays in some of the most beautiful countries in the world, and like you, we care about the people and the places we see on our travels.

Our vision

We are proud to be part of First Choice Holidays plc who three years ago agreed a vision: to enable people to explore and enjoy the world without harming it based on a commitment to sustainable development. While we acknowledge that we are fairly near the beginning of this journey, we recognise that the success of our business goes hand in hand with the way we treat our natural environment and the people we work with and affect.

Responsible Purchasing

We understand that holiday destinations and the natural resources they depend on are finite and must be protected. We also recognise that travel brings the pleasure of discovering new places and cultures, as well as the potential for jobs and revenue to local communities. Therefore, we commit in the long term to minimise the direct environmental impact of our operations by being proactively involved in activities and projects that work to protect and restore the natural environment. Many of our suppliers support local charities and projects that have a social or environmental cause, for instance the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) in Kenya.

We are proud to work with Just a Drop, who provide clean water to thousands of children and their families. Incredibly, more children die under the age of five from water pollution than anything else in the world. Just a Drop raises money to build wells, hand pumps and health and sanitation programmes in order to give children and their families’ access to clean water close to their homes.

To demonstrate our commitment to this charity, we will donate £1 for every booking on a Hayes & Jarvis holiday.

You can help too

We believe that we should all try to give something back, as well as taking away some incredible memories. Here are some things that you can do too, to make a positive difference:

• Wherever possible, we will take you to local markets and restaurants where you can support the local economy by buying local produce.
• Be sensitive to the customs and traditions of the local people.
• Respect the habitat and natural behaviour of the wildlife of the environment.
• Do not buy products made from endangered species.
• Save water and energy – take a shower rather than a bath, re-use towels, and turn off air conditioning and lights when you leave your rooms.
