With its tropical weather, crystal blue seas and colourful marine life, Thailand is the perfect destination for scuba diving and snorkelling. We recommend diving along the west coast in the Andaman Sea where you'll get to see coral gardens, undersea rock formations, shipwrecks and exotic marine animals.

Thailand's national marine parks, countless islands and the coral reefs around Phuket and Khao Lak provide some of the best diving and snorkelling opportunities in the gulf, with a vast array of colourful sealife. Make sure you go between October and April, as heavy rainfall hits the coast from May to September. The island of Koh Tao, near Koh Samui, is arguably one of the best places to obtain your PADI open water dive certificate and has beautiful clear waters making it perfect for swimming and snorkelling as well as diving. Phi Phi also has fantastic waters and plenty of choice when it comes to dive sites with submerged reefs, wreck dives and plenty to offer both the novice and experienced diver.
